(Grinning) Why does this not suprise me?”A new AP-Ipsos poll finds that 34 percent of conservatives have not read a book within the past year, compared with 22 percent of liberals and moderates. Among those who had read at least one book, conservatives “typically read eight” books in the past year. Liberals read nine, moderates five…”
while im not suprised by those numbers, it would also help to know what exactly both are reading. while for the beginner reader, the act of reading in itself is good, at some point if they arent reading anything of substance then whats the difference?
i myself am one who doenst read all things of substance, but i have recently joined a small reading group, so that helps me to broaden my own horizons
mmm… ¿Conservatives read James (Henry), liberals read Pynchon?
i can see your point in that equation pynchon being a popular contemporary.
It doesn’t matter. It was just a silly joke.
